Women belong in beer.

Our aim is to ensure all women feel welcome, are safe, and have equal opportunities in beer.

We are Women On Tap CIC - pioneers of initiatives that put brilliant women from the heavily male-dominated beer industry in the spotlight through a programme of activism including events, campaigns, and arts commissions.

We collaborate with leading bars, breweries, industry experts, and creatives to compile thought-provoking communications and distinctive, welcoming experiences designed to encourage women to find and further explore their passion for beer.

Established in 2017 with our first festival celebrating women in beer in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, WOT has since delivered more than 100 events and 7 major festivals alongside a range of campaigns getting creative, celebrating the role of women in beer, boosting beer education, and pushing for change in beer and wider society. 

Women On Tap is a registered trademark, certified social enterprise and not-for-profit with one clear message: WOMEN BELONG IN BEER.

Our festival

Every year our team curates a programme of events and wraparound initiatives to showcase the brilliant women working in beer, to create new opportunities for women to try beer and learn about brewing in welcoming spaces, and to use our voices to reach more allies to join us on our mission for beer equality.

 

Our campaigns

We aim to spark conversations that aren’t always easy, but that need to be had. We also strive to reframe key issues and subjects that are otherwise bogged down by historical context or have become widely ignored or accepted in an attempt to bring new perspectives to equality and the need for urgent social change.

 

Our partners

We work across the UK with friends and collaborators who share our goals to amplify our cause and accelerate equality. This includes beer industry allies, women’s causes, grassroots movements and equality groups, corporate supporters, high profile individuals, and artists.
